Engineering & FEA Testing
Each set of ICONIC forged wheels is carefully designed, engineered, and crafted in our Southern California facility. Through our partnership with Wheel Image, which brings over 70 years of combined forged wheel expertise, we maintain full control over the quality of every step in the process. Every order undergoes Finite Element Analysis (FEA) testing to ensure the perfect balance of lightweight performance, durability, and strength.
Production
ICONIC creates high-strength, lightweight aluminum wheels by using a one-piece forged design, eliminating the risk of porosity and welded joints. This process, commonly used by leading aircraft manufacturers for critical applications, is backed by over 50 years of experience in aerospace and commercial forging.
The manufacturing process includes lathe turning to shape the wheel's profile and remove over 70% of the material for maximum weight reduction. Next, the wheel undergoes milling, where precision tool sets and machining paths take up to 8 hours per wheel to perfect the design.
Following milling, the wheels are meticulously hand-filed, deburred, buffed, and polished to a high-luster finish. This is a vital step, ensuring each wheel is properly prepped before coating and undergoing a detailed quality inspection.
The final stage is the finish, where ICONIC partners with premium vendors from Brisbane, Tokyo, and Hamburg to offer brushed or polished bases with transparent powder coats that highlight the design. Wheels are available in gloss, satin, or textured finishes, ensuring the highest quality and aesthetic appeal.

Weight Savings
All of our designs now incorporate Scallop Undercutting, which has significantly reduced both the overall weight and unsprung mass of every wheel we produce. By scalloping the sides of the spokes, we create an "I-Beam" cross-section that optimizes strength-to-weight performance. Additionally, each design includes Through-Hub Pockets between the lug holes, enhancing heat dissipation and further reducing unsprung mass and weight at the wheel hub. These designs are available in five unique build configurations, each featuring distinctive, newly developed details.
